We developed the Law Enforcement Applicant Database (LEAD™) to help agencies address those questions. The program presents many practical tools to facilitate your agency’s recruitment demands.
Joining LEAD™ opens the door to a realm of recruitment information sharing never available before, on a national level. What can LEAD™ do for you?
You can post job advertisements and recruiting videos on LEAD™, then display them through third-party sites, such as your department website. Your ads include links that allow viewers to share them through social media sites and email, expanding your reach.
When you post a position, we share your advertisements with registered organizations interested in your recruiting needs. In time, and as candidates become accustomed to registering in LEAD™, we expect the program will become the “go-to” site for law enforcement job searches.
We allow special interest groups, civil rights organizations, and schools to join the program. Many have an interest in law enforcement recruitment and have taken part in national studies such as “Advancing Diversity in Law Enforcement,” and the “Final Report of the President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing.”
Organizations and schools register for free to receive job notifications, distributing your advertisements to people that didn’t realize you were hiring or never considered policing as a career. With the struggle to recruit female and visible minority candidates, LEAD™ can work within and around your community, at no extra cost to you.
Applicants registering in LEAD™ receive job notifications from agencies within a defined radius of their zip code. We will make applicants aware when you are hiring, likely increasing interest in your organization.
Do you require candidates to submit paper applications in person? Do you charge a fee for job testing? LEAD™ can assist you with transitioning to an online application process, collecting your documents and testing fees from applicants. Eliminate the paper shuffle and streamline your process. The ease of our system will presumably increase the volume of applicants you receive.
What’s great about online job applications and fee collection services is that candidates submit documents and pay anytime, day or night.
